New Aluminum Tube Cases, Male Pin Header and Thermal Compound by Fischer Elektronik

Fischer Elektronik has extended their large range of cases by introducing four new aluminium tube cases. The universal tube cases with integral guide slots serve to accommodate non-standard PC boards or components. The special geometry of the aluminium tube section ensures that front foils or key pads are safely kept in place. An EMC version with an electrically conductive surface and additional electrically conductive seals is also available.

Machining, surface finishing and printing to customer specifications is available. The tube sections are delivered as unassembled sets, including the covers and mounting materials.

Fischer Elektronik has also added a two-row SMD shroud male header to their product line. The header has a grid size of 2.54 mm, in a bar magazine (...SM) and with pick and place pad (... B SM) for automatic assembly.

These headers are available with a fixed number of contacts between 6 and 50. The insulators of the male headers and also the pick and place pads are made from reflow-solderable high temperature resistant plastic.

Fischer Elektronik has responded to market demand for a thermal transfer compound featuring high heat conductivity by developing a new graphite thermal transfer compound.

This thermal transfer compound consists of a special graphite powder, which is integrated into an organic matrix. With a heat conductivity of λ = 10.5 K/W, this thermal transfer compound is clearly better than those used up until now in industrial electronics. In addition to excellent heat conductivity, the compound features other desirable characteristics, i.e. it is free from silicone and synthetic oils or substances, it is electrically conductive and usable at temperatures between –40°C and + 400°C.
Graphite thermal transfer compounds of the WLPG product line are delivered in plastic syringes containing 2, 5, 10 or 20 ml; larger syringes or other packaging units are also available.
